Payment Gateways or Acquiring Institutions

MobilCash is a mobile payment channel for both merchants and consumers. Payments may involve using bank accounts and direct debits or credits to those accounts, but most likely involve the use of a branded payment card: Visa, MasterCard, American Express, etc. Such a system requires a connection/interface with a payment gateway where to direct those branded transactions to obtain an authorization.

MobilCash has established strategic alliances with payment gateways or acquiring companies in different markets to guarantee a default processing channel for branded transactions. If the customer wishes to work with his own payment gateway or on a closed loop environment, that can also be arranged on a case-by-case basis.

Phone Carriers

MobilCash's applications are Java based, designed to function and be able to download on any capable phone with an active GPRS connection. Downloading and running the application does not require the participation or permission of the mobile carrier and the instructions to properly setup the data connection are commonly available by the operator.

However, the differences in the Java standards in each phone and the challenges with the correct configuration of the GPRS connection in each device, can be greatly facilitated with a closer relationship with the mobile carriers in each country. A working relationship with mobile carriers will help downloads and minimize the possible incompatibilities with any particular device.
